Born and raised in Roseburg, Oregon, he discerned a call to the priesthood following his high school conversion to the Catholic faith. He was ordained on June 3, 2023 by Archbishop Alexander Sample.

Why Novum Hominem?

The title of this blog comes from the prayer said by priests and other clerics when putting on the surplice: Indúe me, Dómine, nóvum hóminem, qui secúndum Déum creátus est in iustítiæ et sanctitáte veritátis.

The hope is that the homilies and other reflections shared here will benefit those who read them to “be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and put on the new self, created in God’s way in righteousness and holiness of truth” (Eph 4:24).
